Josh Dorey is from New Ross, Nova Scotia. At an early age, God stirred up curiosity in Josh's heart for him which lead him to start attending New Ross Baptist Church in elementary school. Through a combination of VBS, Sunday School and the Christian Camp that the church was affiliated with, he became a Christian at the age of 13. Through various struggles in Junior High and High School God would continue to be at work in Josh and sustain him in the faith throughout those years. In 2004, He went to Crandall University, formerly known as Atlantic Baptist University in Moncton, Brunswick to pursue a calling in pastoral ministry. He graduated in 2008 with a BA in Religious Studies and a Youth Leadership Certificate.

He served in the youth ministry of Lewisville Baptist Church from 2004-2007. He was a youth pastor at Sunny Brae Baptist Church, from 2007 to 2010. From 2013-2015, He served as the Student Life and Chapel Coordinator at Teen Challenge, a faith-based rehabilitation program for men 18 and up. In 2015, he completed an MDIV in Pastoral Ministry through Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. In 2016 he served as Lead Pastor at Lakeville Corner Baptist Church in Grandlake, NB.

He currently resides in Moncton, NB with his wife Jessica and three kids. He is in between churches right now, but works as an Auto Detailer for one of the dealerships in town. This past few years out of active ministry, has afforded him the opportunity to learn to worship God with His work and minister and bless those around him in his workplace. He loves preaching and teaching God's word, writing, playing with his kids, spending time with his wife, watching wrestling, playing video games, building relationships and has become a recent fan of Star Wars.
